Wine tasting Special dinner A.I.S.: Fiano di Avellino D.o.c.g.

2007 Italian Sommelier Association Wine and Food meetings – Naples Section Tuesday the 5th of june 2007 - 8,30 p.m. "Fiano di Avellino" D.O.C.G. Wines MENU: King Prawn wrapped in lardo di colonnata, dressed with italian cannellini beans sauce with bread croutons; Large pasta pockets stuffed with goat ricotta cheese served with italian broccoletti sauce; Pork escaloppe cooked in a Fiano di Avellino wine sauce served with fresh spinach; Cheesecake with mediterranean flavour. During the dinner the "Fiano di Avellino" D.O.C.G. wines of the following factory will be degustated: Marsella, Grotta del Sole, Villa Matilde, Di Meo, Picariello, Vadiaperti, Molettieri e Terredora. HEXACROME CYAN DINNER 27/4 - 2/5 The cultural and gastronomical joint venture between historical Umberto's restaurant and the international comics festival (Napoli comicon) this year is ispired to the Cyan, one of the main color. On friday 27 of april Official Comicon Dinner at 8,30 p.m. special Guest is going to be one of the biggest manga cartoonists of all time, the maestro Go Nagai. His most celebrated characters are Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Jeeg Robot. We serve a special menù for the event ispired at the blue color, the color of the sea and at the characters. ANTIPASTO in QUADRICROMIA - Mediterranean Cous cous PRIMO COLORE - hand made potato gnocchi with seafood SECONDO RETINATO - baby octopus stewed with fresh broad bean and red and yellow peppers SFUMATURE VERDI - Spring salad DOLCE CYMK - Colored mousse of strawberries During the exhibition a few comics made by Go Nagai, Enki Bilal and Igort is going to be exposed in the restaurant.

'Waiting for Easter' Special dinner - 4/4/2007

Wednsday the 4th of april 2007 - 8,30 p.m. Special event to promote and to taste the Neapolitan traditional Easter Dishes organized with Slow Food ass. Neapolitan Actor Patrizio Rispo (very popular in the soap opera "Un posto al sole") will introduce the guests to his new book "un pasto al sole"; he wrote about the neapolitan traditional meals and habits in Easter and Christmas. The book will be given as gift after the dinner. All the meat and cheese will be selected by Antonio Minopoli, a slow food organization expert. Slow Food - Master of Food Tecniche di cucina

This special couse will be directed and teached from the very popular neapolitan chef Antonio Tubelli, one of the founder of the slow food organization in Naples. It will run for four lessons and the first one will be on Monday the fifth of february 2007 at 8,00 p.m. We'll accept 12 people maximum. First Lesson: Local vegetable and fruit; the chef will show three different recipes concerning the local vegetables. Second Lesson: Cereal and Legume; the chef will show three different recipes: hand made pasta, risotto and soup. Third Lesson: Beef and meat; different recipes regarding the sauce and the meat. San Faustino's day - Special dinner reserved for single. The italian association "Vita da single" organized this special dinner togheter with the manager of the "Umberto's" restaurant that will be held at the same hour in Torino, Milano and Firenze, Marco Luca Greppi, the president of the association started to think about a "Single party" in the day after "San Valentino" seven years ago, and since than he had organized events all around italy. The dinner will start at 9 p.m. and will be reserved only to single.
