February is the month of the menu change since Umberto 1916. It is the time for new experiments, always linked to the Neapolitan culinary tradition and the refinement of our local ingredients, some of which are also linked to the slow food cuisine of Campania.
In Naples you can already breathe the Christmas air, the illuminations adorn the streets and the stalls meander through the streets of the Neapolitan neighborhoods rich in characteristic jewels and typical dishes such as pastiere, cassate and struffoli.
DA few days ago, Umberto inaugurated the new menu, even if autumn came on September 21st, the climate does not seem to want to know to give way to the new season. The food varies according to lifestyles and habits and Umberto waited a while before introducing into the menu dishes born of tradition to fight the cold and / or give the right caloric intake, given that climate changes are evident.
This year the summer just had a hard time arriving, but after a May and a rainy June, here it is that it reveals itself with an unexpected heat wave that leaves us a bit perplexed but that can only push us towards the beautiful things that arrival of summer entails.
